A single estate wine from Kit's Coty Vineyard near Aylesford in Kent on the North Downs; it is made from 100% Chardonnay. The expansive southerly aspect at Kit's Coty, surrounded by Neolithic monuments, ensures the vines capture the available sunshine all year long; while the warm, free-draining chalk soils provide a great terroir for producing intensely flavoured fruit. The grapes are whole-bunch pressed before undergoing a ?wild? fermentation in third use French oak, followed by lees ageing for nine months in barrel. It shows rich aromas of apple, apricot and buttered toast with hints of nutmeg, with layers of flavour and texture leading to the long fresh finish. The 2013 vintage won Winner the Best UK White Wine over £15 award at the Decanter World Wine Awards 2016.
