Grapes from gently sloping foothills of the Bottelary Range; hand-picked and fermented in traditional open-top fermenters using natural yeast present on the grapes, then barrel-matured in new French and American oak barrels. Intense aromas of wild blueberry and ripe cherry are supported by smoky, spicy undertones. On the palate, blackberry and plum flavours shine through, complemented by the subtle toasty oak.
