Monthélie is a small village located between Volnay and Meursault. Louis Jadot bought the vineyard of Sous Roches here in 2010; it has an area of 1.16 hectares, which is relatively large, and orientated to the east. Its steep slopes make it quite a difficult vineyard to cultivate. Fermentation takes place in open vats for about 3 weeks; the wine is aged in French oak barrels for about eleven months.
