The Shiraz, Grenache and Touriga grapes employed in this blend are mostly sourced from vineyards in the southern region of the Barossa Valley, with red brown loam over shale soils that highlight fresh varietal characteristics. The varieties are crushed and fermented separately, with a portion of the Shiraz kept on the lees to add complexity and texture. The nose shows ripe red berry fruits and spice with floral notes; the palate exhibits bright red fruit, such as raspberry, supple tannins and notes of rose and spice.
